Its summer time - almost! Time to dig out the flip-flops and start drinking Pimms and Lemonade in the garden. Summer is also festival season and first up we have two drama events; the All England Theatre Festival in May and six nights of free entertainment with the Haverhill Drama Festival in June. The Haverhill Festival returns in fine form with favourites such as Herman’s Hermits and Bee Gees Magic, as well as a breathtaking performance by the Tashi Lhunpo Tibetan Monks who will give a spectacular insight into their ancient traditions and rituals.

If you prefer sci-fi and comedy Brit-style Norman Lovett and Hattie Hayridge (both of whom played Holly in Red Dwarf) join forces in June for what The Edinburgh Evening News describes as a ‘side-splittingly funny’ show. It’s a great season for children’s and family shows; there is for example a new take on The Elves and the Shoemaker by Theatre of Widdershins and a non-classic reworking on the Lewis Carroll classic with Alan in Wonderland, the White Rabbit might not make an appearance but there is a rather large helping of goats! Look out for our Family Tickets to get the best deals (see information below). You really know its summer when there is talk of Christmas! If you like to get organized for the festive season well in advance, book now for the 2008 Panto, Dick Whittington. Not only is it one thing to cross off the Christmas to-do list but you’ll besaving money too!

Best wishes
